Authors may apply to the following categories: painting, sculpture,
engraving and any other type of artistic expression ( e.g. video,
digital art, installations, etc.).

Applicant authors must be between 18 and 30 years of age.
3•
There is freedom to choose the theme and all artistic tendencies
will be admitted. The works can be made with type of technique and
material.
4•
Each applicant will be allowed to take part in the contest with
a maximum of two works, even if the belong to different categories.
5•
The works presented must have the following characteristics:
Painting: Not less that 1 metre nor more than 2 metres
in any of its dimensions.
Sculpture: the maximum height is 1,80 metres and the base
must not exceed 1x1 metres.
Engraving and other artistic expressions: free size.

The works may not have been previously awarded in any other artistic
contest.
7•
The following prizes will be awarded regardless of the category:
First prize: 6.000 €
Second prize: 4.000 €
Third prize: 2.000 €
Two Mentions: 1.000 €
The jury may award honorary mentions considering the quality of
the works. They can also declare any of the prizes not awarded.

The application period to take part in the contest will be from
the following day of its publication in the Boletín Oficial
da Provincia (BOP) until May 31st. The works will be delivered
or handed over to the Centro Cultural da Deputación de Ourense
( Rúa Progreso, 30 32003 Ourense, Spain). The delivery
will be paid by the contestants. The organizers do not take any
kind of responsibility regarding the risks or damages that the works
may suffer in their transfer.

For their identification, the works will carry the name of a theme
in a visible place. This theme may be the same for all the works
of an author. In a closed, separate envelop the author will enclose
a fully filled APPLICATION FORM for the contest or a copy of it
for each work, and a copy of the authors ID or passport. The name
of the teme will be written in the outside of the envelop.

The Ourense County Council will hold an exhibition of mounth of
september selected works and will print a catalogue of it.
11•
The jury will be composed of at least five people related to the
world of plastic arts who will be appointed by the County Council.
12•
The authors of the works which were not awarded must withdraw them
within a month of the end of the exhibition. After this period of
time, the County Council declines all responsibility towards them.
13•
The artist give the County Council authorization to use the image
of their works in any way and at any time.
14•
The application to take part in this contest implies the agreement
to these entry conditions and to the decision of the jury.
